A bit of a dark brooding one. I actually wrote the lyrics for this one back in 2002, these were the first lyrics that I ever wrote. The song deals with an inner questioning between two sides of my conscience, the one with hope and the one that brings on depression. After a few unsuccessful attempts at creating some lead guitar myself I decided to enlist the help of my mate Dan.
lyrics
Would you go through life just to live without me?
Even if you did imagine how our life would be...
How can I exist when you cloud my thoughts day and night?
And can I live just to be your hopes in spite?
Though the answer calls to beckon me how
But the time for me should come right now
I'm a different guy that much is clear
Yet my certainty, my intentions are here
So this is why, this is how, I'm so confused
Would it matter? Would you care? Could you be enthused?
And though the time draws near, yes the lights gone out!
Will you help me, guide me, stick this one out?
And though the candle burns is it still the same?
A life can be some sick cruel game!
But could you lead me to my destiny?
This journey's for hope and this journey's for me...
So can you see through a heart? Can you touch with your eyes?
Will you kill this facade? this awful disguise!
Isolating thoughts, pondering deep in my mind
Would you wake me up, could you loosen this bind?
Though the answer calls to beckon me how
But the time for me should come right now
I'm a different guy that much is clear
Yet my certainty, my intentions are here
And though the candle burns is it still the same?
A life can be some sick cruel game!
But could you lead me to my destiny?
This journey's for hope and this journey's for me...
