I fall out of love with life sometimes
And that’s when I seek but do not find
Wading deep in the recess of my mind
Penetrating the steepest of inclines
But substances let me access more
When they knock on the old perceptive door
I get a fleeting peek, but not for long
The door slams shut…I’m forced to move on
Find another way, with a calm approach
To sit in silence with a divine coach
Present in the now there’s no reproach
A pleasant moment to reach out and float
Suspending time untangling binds
Forging neural pathways, DNA unwinds
These new potentials…it’s consequential
Cos it’s cerebration, like this instrumental

To balance and heal is my main cause
Close wounds that separate me from source
Not ready to stop chemical assistance
But in time it can happen with persistence
Right now, it’s a welcome addition
To aid in my own spiritual attrition
And I know it’s not the best way
But when I press play, I lose stress hey
I wish this heightened state could stay
Break thought loops, no more groundhog day
No permanent answers to be found here
But a glimpse of a way out is made clear
So I take it for the gift that it is
Branch out implement, make sure I don’t miss
This opportunity for a shot at purity
To Internalise the lesson so fluidly

Cos I know that I can do it
Connect to my higher self and get to it
Anyone can expand their thought
Better to be free, than to stay caught
Cos I know drugs are the last resort
But that battles fought, so I change port
Reconnect to the omniscient force
Instead of pressing play…I should press pause
Look within, find answers there
Stop plumbing those old wells of despair
Mental stimulation, spiritual vibration
Higher planes of being pivotal realisation
Ooohhh…I may be onto something
The source of all, the only one thing
This Oneness, more complex than
Shallow chemical realms made by man
